On any given weekend, you can find me hiking happily, skiing dangerously, golfing poorly, disc golfing respectably, cycling excitedly, fishing impatiently, slack-lining shakily, hammocking lazily and living intentionally.
Just because I don’t do it all well, doesn’t mean I can’t do it all!
Q: What outdoor activities do you enjoy the most?
A: Backpacking in the summer, skiing in the winter. Make the best of what each season offers!
Q: What point in your life inspired a love of the outdoors?
A: When I was 11, I went camping at Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. I had never seen so many varying landscapes and it made me want to search out other unique and beautiful landscapes.
Q: Dream Trip?
A: Any time of year, drop me in Jackson Hole with a road bike, a pair of skis and a backpack. See you in a few weeks… maybe.
Q: What are 3 must-haves for a camping trip?
A: A Good Stove, a warm sleeping bag and an untethered sense of adventure.
Q: What’s your favorite band at the moment?
A: Some of the guys from Vulfpeck just released an EP under the name “The Fearless Flyers”. Stripped-down funky perfection.
Q: Guilty pleasure?
A: Belting Disney musicals and Broadway show tunes in the car.
Q: What are you secretly good at?
A: Hate Country Music… LOVE Two Stepping! Any style of dance that includes spins, dips, and flips, I’m all over it!
Q: Peanut butter. Crunchy or smooth?
A: Crunchy… Smooth is for Jazz, whiskey and river rocks.
Q: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
A: Fish eyes and dove hearts are about as weird as I can think of. Consequently, the same guy introduced me to both, but with a good moral attached. Any fish you catch, any animal you hunt, use all that you can and thank God for what he provides.
